How about these Hezz Wash your mouth out, Girl!!! A piece of toilet paper is going to be much easier to manage. Wish me luck!! We have a few things that we need to work towards, this being one of them. He also needs to learn to be held (we are working on it) and I do hope to get him harness trained for when his flight feathers grow back in. He has dropped about 4-6 clipped ones in the last few weeks, so looking forward to seeing the new ones grow through. We spend a lot of time on the deck in summer, and I would like him to be able to join us, rather than be locked inside his cage. I know it won't be easy, and a very gradual process, but hopefully we will be able to make it work.

(The conure doesn't look very impressed in that vid, does it?? ) Yes, that sort of thing, skysmum. I think a bit of freedom would be well appreciated.

We have to get there, yet. I understand it is not easy, and it will be that bit harder as we haven't "grown up together". I have ordered it, I have watched the video and started some of the ground work .... now wish us luck. He has been rather bitey the last day or two ..... might be age, might also be partly due to moulting.

Yes.... me too, can't wait to see video's and pictures of Loki. Tell me Hezz, are you pronouncing 'Loki' as in 'lowkey', or 'Lockie'? Me, being a Virgo, like to get it right!!

I'd have thought it would be pronounced "Low-Key" as in the Norse God Loki?

That's what I thought too Marianne.

That's what it is supposed to be: Low-key, Loki, the Norse God of Mischief, but I find myself saying Lokki (locky) It seems to run off my tongue better. We have given the cages a bit of a mix up this morning; trying out a different place for each for best fit. Loki is closer to the budgies now, but further from the action of the house, being the kitchen. It is a trial only, and things can be moved again, if needed. It would not be a problem if Mango didn't need to have her own cage. Bleedin' Misty!! On another note, the harness turned up this morning ... that was quick!!

I prefer the way you say it Hezz (Locky), thats how I would say it too It'll be interesting to see how he takes to the harness.

As we all have our different accents I suppose we'd all say Loki differently anyway!
