I bought a nest box for my bird because I notice that her bally is big and she cannot fly. so after I gave her diet food I installed a nest box inside the cage, assuming if she wanted to lay egg so I provided her an environment. But I did a mistake by putting sand inside the nest box. she refused the nesting strings and the tissue papers so I put sand to keep it clean. Now there is a nice small egg inside the nest, the sand will scratch the egg right? She is refusing to go out, she is already incubating it. She looks angry and does not allow me to get closer nor her partner, although she is tamed. I want to replace the sand with some soft bedding proper for nesting.
If I touch the egg and force her to leave the nest to replace the sand with soft bedding, will this effect her psychology and let her to reject the egg ? or hates me that I forced her to leave the nest even for a while?

I would leave her alone, not really knowing whether the sand will affect the egg. Regardless, you may or may not end up with a chick, so I would let things run their course. That is only my opinion. If you get the opportunity to put some bedding in, then do so.
