Hi,
I am a bit confused as to whether it is good Idea about candling eggs. My female budgie has 7 eggs and two were pushed to the side of the nest box and she wasn't sitting on them so I took them from her as she is a first time mum and I didn't want her to have to raise too many chicks for her first time. I candeed the eggs and they were both infertile, she has been sitting on them for 13 days now.
With my previous budgie I candled her eggs and she had no problem with me touching them or her chicks when they were born.
I am a bit worried about this hens eggs, will she reject her eggs if I touch / candle them? I have heard mixed information that you should with a first time hen and then you shouldn't touch their eggs or intervene that they hen will reject them?
Any advice would be great thank you.

Wash your hand with soap and rinse them thoroughly first. You don't want to leave any scent on them that may make her reject them.
