Brand New Budgie

Hello, I adopted a female budgie in July, 4 months ago, and she has laid 13 infertile eggs since October 13, a month and 2 days ago. Her feeder is a long tube that attaches outside her cage so she can't sit in it. She lays them on the floor, and we've been covering the cage to limit brightness and discourage egg laying, but it's not really helping. We're feeding her vegetables and she's getting calcium. Some sources are saying to limit food to discourage laying, but others say don't- I'm really worried of egg binding. It looks stressful at times when she lays, at other times it happens quickly. Any advice?

Can you post a photo of her cage set up as it might help us to give you advice.

You need to move her- move her around the house, change the set up in her cage, if you have a spare cage move her into this, remove anything remotely like a nest, remove her from any significant other. Limit her access to high potency foods, darken her room early, get her up late. Keep up the calcium while the laying continues. I am sure I have forgotten something ......
