Who? One guess and no prizes for the winner. Now that Loki has gained a bit of confidence in the air, he has been practising his flying between his and the little boys' cage. From roof to roof - very good, I'm happy for him. But today he has stretched the friendship beyond the limits ..... into the little boys' cage snapping the rubber bands around their grass (I seriously hope that is all he has done and not ingested any ), biting at their toys (he will break them, it is only a matter of time) and eating their seed. I have even included some of their seed in with his, so no excuses there; he has plenty of toys of his own but barely touches them, and he has his own bundle of grass ties together with paper rope. Obviously a case of the grass is greener??? What a brat! He has been chastised and removed every time, my hope being that I didn't have to lock either cage dwellers into their respective cages. Sorry Loki; you brought it on yourself. Anyway, some photos of the brat being not quite so bratty ...... Snuggling down for bed ... His new wing feathers. He can actually cross them over, now: More snuggles, too cute .. sometimes he simply sits next to this and leans into it; other times he goes right inside.

Like with naughty children they always look so cute, sweet and innocent when they're asleep! Nice to see some photos of your colourful boy!

As long as the buds are OK, that would be the worry for me. I suppose you would have expected some mischief from Loki once he found his wings. I hope this behaviour is only exploration.
The photos are great.

The buds are fine, OP. Except for Mango, so she is out only when Loki is in ... for some reason he hates her. He and Misty - there has been no interaction; Misty vacates when Loki arrives, so the only one to interact is Spyro. There is no antagonism to his visits, it is simply that the toys are meant for budgie beaks and won't hold up to Loki's much stronger one. The other thing that I haven't mentioned is that last weekend I changed all the cages around: Mango into the smallest cage, the boys into Loki's cage and Loki into the larger cage where Mango used to be. Everyone seems happy with the new arrangements but I do wonder if Loki does not still recognise his former house.

He makes the funniest little noises when he is snuggling in as well, but pity help me if I try to rearrange it while he is trying to snuggle in.

He probably wondered what all those strange toys and things were doing in there. I know that all three of mine scent mark their fav places. The visitors do sniff and taste those scent marks.

I have a soft spot for the naughty and mischievous ones I have to admit.
Have you made his hidey hole or is it something you can buy? Is it because Loki is young or do all sun conures sleep in them? Goodness, how cute it is with him in it: my heart burst at the pictures of him snuggled inside it all snug and safe.

clt80, it seems it is a conure thing to have something to snuggle into. He did have one of those disgusting fluffy huts when we first got him. It ,um, kinda didn't really make it home with him ..... got lost on the way ... accidently on purpose you might say ..... You can buy these snuggle corners, but I just made his out of a flannelette pillow case. Even in the middle of summer he still seems to enjoy it.
