Slap hands. It's not bad actually. Not perfect because it is round and the room has corners. I have it do a once round every morning as a schedule, then if it needs it I just tell it to do another, well Alexa does. If you have bags of money then it could be for you. Well you apparently have , is you a tycoon really OP Trots off to look at the Dyson 360 before i tell OH about the new cage

Wow I like the idea of a vacuum that doesn't need me to go around with it. I'd probably trip over it though

When you have had the cage for little while just say you could do with a good robotic vacuum cleaner.

You might be waiting a while for that. This is the second robotic I have had. The first one was a big round thing with stick out brushes that were supposed to do corners. Hah! I still had to do the corners with the hand Held. It's amazing where those feathers can get to. How do they manage to float upwards and stick on the back of the sofa.

But WHY don't they make a square one OP , it makes so much more sense, no helenmat it could be arranged I do believe it is a matter of needing an encasement for the brush and the wheels to fit in. There is the matter of the machine being able to spin round on the spot to allow it to get out of a tight corner. A square or rectangle would take up so much more room to manoeuvre and would be getting constantly stuck. This Dyson is pretty good at getting into tight spaces and because the brush is virtually the full width of the machine it does a pretty good job of getting into the corners. Given the suction power is an added advantage. It's only about the size of a Quality Street tin of chocolates it's not bad. Not perfect but not bad. If you think about it the old upright vacuum cleaner i.e. Hoover is still square in shape and to do the corners an attachment is needed. You could make a lot of money if you could come up with the design that would do the corners.

Ahhhh i see, i guess im thinking of my old mums ancient carpet sweeper, its square, has brushes and wheels , downside is you have to push it I could take that apart and use it for the prototype

If it were square, it would have to know how to reverse out of a tight space; as OP said, it would get stuck too often otherwise. Although not in our house, because nothing is square!!
