My budgie babies are 2 months old now. They have been seperated from their parents and are in different cage. I have two cages so i did the seperation as parents were attacking them.
I need help! I recently saw the parents mating again i dont want any other clutch. Their is no nest box but is this enough for no laying of eggs because i see them mating 2 to 3 times a day.
I dont have any other cage to seperate both of them. And i cannot shuffle them with babies as then there would be attacking. So i want to know that what i could possibly do to avoid another clutch as i have no room for that 😞
Please help!

Is dad able to go in with the babies? Was he attacking them as well? Mating doesn't always have to result in eggs, but I would be concerned, as well. For now, change everything you can in the parents' cage, move their food and water to different places, change perches to run different ways, new toys, even new pots if possible. Consider getting another cage.

Hezz today jammy's poop was a bit larger than usual. So at this point will that be fine to remove jimmy(male). Or will i have to put the nest box at this stage? I am okay to do whatever that goes well will my birds.

Whatever you do, do not put the nest box back in. This will just tell them that you want them to breed. Even if Jammy lays an egg, don’t replace the box. Do you have any dummy eggs that you could replace any of her eggs with, if she does start to lay again? Try removing Jimmy for some time, a few days, week perhaps, and watch them both, make sure none of the birds are too distraught. I am sure they will call back and forth to each other, and if you are able to move Jammy to another room, all the better. Leave her days darker, put her to bed earlier, take the cover off later, if you don’t normally cover them, cover her anyway. You have to stop her thinking about breeding, and put her mind onto other things, so you are basically putting her into a state of being slightly stressed.
