hey guys. so Titiko won't calm down no matter what I try. He keeps flying around the room, doesn't want to get back in his cage, only to eat, for like five minutes. He keeps screaming loudly as well. I'm not quite sure what to do, if anyone's got some advice it'd be greatly appreciated! thank you.

I've got the same issue. But mine doesn't want to step on (to my finger or anything else). He just lays himself on the ground or on the bottom of the cage and doesn't want to move anywhere. I don't know how to do it nicely and I don't want to force anything either. Uh, I feel you.

But the weirdest thing is that I already didn't have problems with that but BOOM he just became a completely different bird now.

Hi How long have you had Titiko and how old is he? It could be a few things. Firstly, he could have reached the budgie version of puberty, it sends them a little crazy haha and very stubborn, not that budgies can't be stubborn anyway. Another thing it could be is him simply not knowing that he needs to go back in the cage if you haven't had him long. A third is...well he's simply a crazy happy budgie and likes to be out and about If you absolutely need him to go back in the cage then close the curtains or blinds to make it darker in the room and use a cotton cloth or tee shirt to catch him with. Never use your bare hands to catch him as that will make him afraid of your hands and you don't want that.
