I am setting up a stud for classic and spangle rainbows. One of my first chicks( in nest) is spangle yf cobalt greywing, but also has a few blue feathers at the shoulders. could this be a male split for opaline? Mom is sky yf opaline greywing, dad is cobalt dilute spangle.

update! chicky baby is also showing a bit of blue on the front edge of shoulder. I think he must be a full opaline or she is opaline so dad must be split for opaline.

I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to tell if a bird was split for opaline. I don't know much about the genetics side.
