I have 2 budgies right now that are both arround 7 months old. They really like eachother. Im thinking of getting 1 or 2 new budgies when the breeding season arrives again. Is this a bad move? And if I do end up getting 2 more how about the cage? Should I get a second one or keep them in 1? My current cage is easely big enough to fit more budgies. And if I wanted a different species of bird? Like a green cheeked concure? I guess my question is: ''Is it alright to buy 2 more budgies while already having 2, if yes how do I go about it?, Is it wise to get 2 birds of another kind or not? if yes how do I go about it?.

Best to keep budgies in pairs either 2 boys or hen/boy. Never a good idea to have 3 as one will be left out. If your budgies are happy then just leave them as a pair. Budgie’s are best on their own can be aggressive to others

Marianne. I mean budgies as a species not to be kept with other birds.
