I try ! I bred 4 good youngsters in 2010 but foolishly sold my breeding hen by mistake. [Young and old look alike.] I have plenty of coloured split rings so I will not make that error again. Currently I have 3 pairs and an odd hen, I may buy another cock at the Carlisle sale next Sunday.

They are lovely, Albino. Very similar to budgies, except for the red colouring of course.
I'd read that budgies' closest relatives are the lorikeet. When the lorikeets whiz past my house, they make the same natural call as budgie. A sort of 'biddle de deep, biddle de deep". My bird always calls to them when they make a flyover, but not the other birds.

That is interesting Stace. I didn't realise budgies were closely related to Lorikeets. They do not look at all similar.
