So, I have a nesting box that im planning to breed my budgies in, and I was wondering if I need any bedding such as wood shaving? Yes or No

I have never got involved with breeding. clt80, skysmum and Hezz (although you haven't bred your budgies, you are knowledgeable about such things), may have some insight.

Yes, they do need something like untreated wood shavings. The hen will often kick them out to start with but it is advised that you continue to replace it. It is needed to prevent the eggs from rolling around too much and later to help prevent splayed legs in the chicks.
