Well I may be able to start breeding in the next 3months, once I have the go ahead from the local council! I would like to know what you think is the best way to breed your budgies ie ;
do you use all wire cage with nest box inside the cage or outside and why!!!
or use enclosed cage with the nest box inside or outside and why!!
Thanks x

I've just attached a nest box to a secondary cage.
I removed the feeder and have attached it with rope and a bungie.
Will just wait and see. I don't think my two I'm trying to breed are liking being away from the others. They're out the cage now and sitting on my old one where the rest of the budgies are.
It's my first time.

hi gaile i use wooden breeding cages as they are cheep and easy to make,i also put my nest boxes on the out side as it is easier access for cleaning and inspection and also give the birds more room in the cage,i also think that wooden cages gives the birds less distractions as they have only got the front to see out of and not all sides like the wire cages
