"That'll fix the pervy human, wanting to look at my poops all the time. Watery? I'll give her watery!" So pleased to hear that young Sam is doing so well, JB.

🤣🤣 yes, I think he got his revenge this morning Hezz. I phoned the breeder this afternoon to give him an update on how Sam was, he said if I ever wanted more seed for Sam just to let him know. How nice was that.

Sorry haven't been on, just catching up here as have had the stomach flu! Fantastic news about little Sam jellybean, he is a wonder bud! I can tell how you are TOTALLY smitten with the little guy already (as am I) and am just so relieved he is better. Something tells me he's gonna be a bit of a scamp too Ben you maybe shouting for his company now - you'd better watch out!

Here they are then...... I'm hoping they will improve still once the Marbocyl is out of his system, but I'm really pleased at how they're looking.

When Sam was at the vet (Wed 11th Sept) he weighed...42g
I weighed him this morning, he is now...46g
I'm pleased that even though his poops were so bad, he has still put on weight.
He's never touched the egg food, or the oystershell grit that's in the cage, he's just been eating seed and millet.
Given his poops now, when should I start to introduce veggies into his diet? I don't hold out much hope of him eating them though until he's introduced to Ben, but we shall try.

Sorry, jellybean, I missed your question regarding when to start the veggie introduction. I would wait until you are completely happy with his poops, although you could just start leaving them around so that he gets used to them being there, and if he does have a nibble keep an eye on those pesky poops again. In other words, if he is keen, limit how much he gets but if a bit more wary ... well we all know how long it can take a reluctant budgie to begin to eat their greens.

Totally agree with Hezz about when to introduce veggies jellybean, as Ben eats them too it might be worth introducing them when Sam is brought out of quarrantine for 2 reasons: 1 they can share some food together as that always helps with introductions and2 Ben will show Sam what to do! DOUBLE bonus! P.S Am a lot better now thank you for asking JB
