I’m really worried because I don’t want the female to be exhausted. Only one baby bird is left in the nesting box. This baby is 1 month old, is not yet weaned, and still stays inside the nesting box. The chick is healthy. But, I was checking on the chick just a few minutes ago and found another egg!! 😣 Will the baby in the nesting box be neglected/hurt? What can I do to make sure the female doesn’t get sick/pass away from exhaustion? What can I do in the future to prevent this from happening again?
If it’s possible, is there a way to stop her from laying eggs/make sure the eggs don’t hatch?

Replace the laid eggs with dummy eggs is your best solution - probably too late now to prevent her going through laying a third clutch, and there is nothing to guarantee that she won't hurt the remaining chick. At four weeks, this chick should be able to be catered to by the male, so you could move the hen to another cage and leave him to look after and teach the chick how to forage and fend for itself.
Give your hen calcium supplements, move her cage away from the rest of the flock, mix up the cage furniture and also make sure she gets a full 12 hours of darkness at night - put her in a room where she won't be disturbed by people coming and going. You need to stress her to an extent where she needs to focus on herself, not try to produce more babies. Our pet birds get a rich diet and all the creature comforts so they think it is a time of plenty and therefore time to breed.
