Meet the newest member of our family. We think hes around 12 weeks old and he was the only bird in a full cage that wasn’t a green one and he stood out and we kind of fell in love, especially after he started head bobbing in front of us.. He seems really steady and settled already and has even tried some lambs lettuce and sat on my finger. He is in the living room for the next four weeks in quarantine but hopefully he will be a new friend for Eric. They have already heard each other. We haven’t named him yet but Smudge, Eddy or Pixel are being considered.

Wow. Beautiful bud. Glad you’ve taken the plunge again.
Other than not being a pied, he obv colour wise, reminds me of Bailey
I’d picked him as the only one a different colour at the breeder.
Love Pixel

helenmat, I am thrilled to bits for you, he's a little beauty. I'm so glad too, that you decided to get another. The change in Ben since I got Sam is incredible, he is a different bird. I'd forgotten what it's like to have a youngster in the house, this little guy is always up to mischief, you are going to have so much fun, and so is Eric.

He does look like Bailey yes. His chest is a little bit more grey. Bailey has like a tick shaped white patch on his chest. But otherwise, very similar

He really seems to like the swing. He is quite active for the first day. Its the first bird we haven't got direct from the breeder but it is too late in the year for my chap. So we went for next best which is breeder supplied to a pet centre. They specialise is birds and exotics and really care for their birds. That was the same place I saw the quaker parrot that was laid upside down in the shop owners hand.

Yes they have shouted a couple of times. He is an inquisitive little thing. I can see he’s going to be fun. We can only hope that he will bring Eric out of his shell again because at the moment he seems quite forlorn. We shall see in a month.

I’m sure Eric will change, as having a buddy will be so nice for him.
