Violet has finished quarantine! I wasn't sure how they'd react, so I put her smaller cage next to the bigger one and both the doors open. Very quickly she slipped across and just sat on the edge of the cage. Neither of the boys has paid a huge amount of attention to her, nor her them, but she does seem to like being near them. We had a little drama the first night when she sat on Biggle's favourite swing. She compromised: Not quite sure how long she "slept" like that, but she was there for quite a while. I have noticed she is much quieter than them; other than occasional "I'm here" squawks she says very little. She's not going to be pushed around by them though. Biggles has tried nibbling her (very small) tail feathers a couple of times and she's not having it. She's also much less active than she was in the smaller cage. She's mostly sitting there watching.

That's a very cute photo. She can't have been comfortable like that. I'm glad they are getting along well

That picture made me giggle 🤠how on earth did she stay like that all night! She’s very cute 🥰
I’m sure she’s just overwhelmed at the moment. Once she’s found her claws she’ll likely be bossing the boys around 😊

She's definitely in charge now, but in a fairly quiet way. Biggles was feeding from their favourite food dish and she came up and joined in. He shouted at her, and she just raised her little wings and took a step towards him and he fled. Biggles does seem to like nibbling the end of her tail though. Sometimes she tells him not to, other time she ignores it. It's not biting or looking aggressive, just gentle nibbles. Any known reason? She's the least active but the most agile. She's getting into places the boys don't even think about. I think she must have had to when she was in the large aviary and not being able to fly.

The tail nibbling is a budgie thing. When it is the boys annoying the girls, I liken it to naughty school boys pulling the girls' pigtails - looking for attention in a boy kind of a way.
