Last night was the first night that all the buds settled and didn't argue. We've had such problems with them all sorting themselves out since Buddy Boy and Joe joined the gang. I took two swings out at on point hoping things would settle, they did for a bit, but last night I put the two swings back. So there now once again, there is a swing for each to roost on. This was them, just before being covered up for the night. I used the flash as it was a bit dark.

I've never seen so many swings in one cage! I've never had so many swings in one cage either, but because they all free fly all day long, the cage can take it room wise. If they were caged most of the time, five swings would be far too many!

Now that they are being nice and not naughty, no coal in their stockings this year!

It didn't last long, two nights only. And tell me, how do they unhook swings in the middle of the night? Sometimes when I uncover them there is a budgie hanging on to the side of an un-hooked swing, probably been there all night. Funny stupid birds!!

It must be chaos with 5 of them squabbling over the swings. It's bad enough with 3. I have to get the timing right with my boys. When it's round about bedtime and I see Dean Stockwell up on his favourite swing I start putting them to bed. If he isn't first on a swing that it's bedlam. The other night Randolph Carter kept well out of it and let Dean Stockwell and Dexter squabble it out. I had to put my hand in to separate them and got a few pecks for my trouble. Randolph Carter is often the troublesome one though. He still likes to chase Dexter off whatever swing Dexter chooses but he only does that occasionally now whereas it used to be every night.

Bit late on parade with this one but we always have a swing each plus two spares, 8 in all
