I have a budgie Ive had since February, she's always had issues flying. But I thought since she was young that she would learn like the rest and grow into her wings.
Its now entering 2020 and she cannnot fly. I have stopped clipping her wings since why bother if she cant even glide?
She can propel herself forwards and hop onto things. She still flaps her wings when doing this but it probably doesnt do much for her.
Her wings also criss cross like a pair of scissors with the left wing sort of being a bit more higher placed than the other. They have a more inwards structure and they dont rest against her back as much as the others.
Im just curious if anyone has had a bird that cant fly or who struggles yet otherwise appears perfectly healthy and fine.
She doesnt seem in pain but Im wondering if its maybe because of her breeding which I have no idea about(she was from petsmart)

Someone will be along to help you soon, but in the meantime, could you put a photo of your budgie on, it would help to know what is wrong........

Lots of reasons why a bird can't fly, and most buds will cross their wings over each other over their back, but there is probably an injury or defect to the wing anatomy as to why this bird can't fly.

Budgies crossing wings at the back is not an issue, lots of mine do that.
Do you have a photo of the budgies wings?
