Evening, I've had my two boys for over I year now. They eat a range of veg and love their millet. I really want to make sure they get the best seed mix. Currently I use pets at home but i know this isn't the best. Really want a good all round mix to keep them healthy. So much on the market I find it confusing.

A lot of us like using Haiths, but I believe their prices went up a while back so it may depend on whether you can buy bulk and store the seed. Works out cheaper that way if you can afford the initial outlay.

Johnston and Jeff is what i use Which variety do you buy? I have been buying mine Hagen budgie seed from Pets Corner but I’ve just seen they’ve put the cost up by 70p from £5.99 to £6.69 for a 1.36kg bag. I don’t begrudge my animals anything but this increase is taking the mick so won’t be buying from there anymore.

Help - Haith's have restricted their range!!!
I've just gone into a mass panic and I'm hoping for some advice please. I usually use Haith's Global (canary seed, white, Japanese, red and panicum millet) which I supplement with their Tonic seed but they've removed the Global seed from their website (plus a load of other seed mixes) so I need to find an alternative. Foolishly I ran my seed stock really low so that my birdie has the freshest seed possible. I have enough of the Tonic (which is still available anyway) so I think my options to replace the Global are;
1) Haith's Bravo - canary, red and yellow millet and groats, but my boy isn't so keen on the groats and they're in the tonic anyway.
2) Haith's Breeders - canary and yellow millet only.
3) Find an alternative brand which matches the Global more closely.
I don't want to end up with poor quality seed just so I can get the white millet in the mix which is his fave. I also thought about buying the individual millets from Haith's and mixing my own but they've removed lots of them too. No white millet to be seen!
I see that Johnston and Jeff also looks good but which mix do people use and where do they get it please?
I'm probably stressing way too much about this but I hope someone out there has the chance to offer some help.
Thanks!!

Thanks! I went with the Bravo in the end (they had also removed the Breeders seed mix from their range by the time I placed my order). Fingers crossed it arrives soon.

I'm still waiting for my Haith's Bravo to arrive so I've been eeking out the end of the Haith's Global by mixing it with 5% Haith's Tonic seed and feeding this every day. I think they recommend that the Tonic is only fed a couple of times a week but I did see one breeder using it as 5% of the daily diet and wondered if anyone had any thoughts on that? Willow is moulting at the moment and I do need to stretch his Global seed out so I'm hoping there's no problem with doing this for the next week or so. Including it as a small percentage of his daily diet seems a simple option going forward but I obviously want to do what's best for him and wondered what other Tonic users did?
I also wondered how to minimise seed waste. He only has about 2-3 teaspoons of seed in his seed pot at any one time and each day I shake the pot and use a plastic spoon to skim off the husks which rise to the top (I've tried blowing them off but I ended up covered in them!). I also give the seed the odd stir through the day so that it's not covered in husks and I let the seed get quite low so that he doesn't just keep eating his fave seeds and ignore the rest (I'm learning his tricks!). Does this sound OK or does anyone have any other tricks of the trade that they would recommend?
Thanks!
