I'm rather new to owning budgies. At the minute I have 2 cages both holding a pair of budgies in but I would like to buy a bigger cage and have all 4 together... I really like the hamberley cage but so unsure of the grill at the bottom which is attached. Has anyone removed the grill successfully, looking at the cage it would leave a bigger gap that I'm unsure of... any suggestions please would be grateful... thank you in advance

I have the Hamberley, it would be my cage of choice EVERY time.
I bought mine from Little Pet Warehouse.
The grill at the bottom isn't attached it can be removed very easily, I put the paper on top of my grill and pull out the sheets when needed. The plastic tray underneath too is easily wiped over.
My birdies love it.
I'll be happy to answer any questions you have.

Many thanks jellybean... it looks big enough for 4 ~ is this so?... It'll be so nice to watch them together.

2 of mine are ok but the other 2 are not tame as yet. So I'm hoping by putting them together they will get the confidence and watch how the other 2 behave. Re the hamberley cage ~ it has a large door at the front but does it have side doors at all?.. no matter where I look online it doesn't say. Being a largish cage I thought it might...
