I remember reading a lot about this brand, how good and healthy it is for our little buds, I never used to find it but now it’s available in a store here, but I remember a while back, you said that pellets are not important for them, I was just wondering if it’s about all pellets or the usual full of colors and additives ones? even this one? I wanted to ask just to make sure, any input would be appreciated 🙂

The Harrisons pellet in your picture is one of the pellets that my vet recommended. I got some and tried them on my two guys for a couple of weeks. No luck, they wouldn't touch them! I'm still trying to find a healthy brand that they'll eat. My vet did say that the best pellet is the one that they'd eat and stay away from those that have high sugar and artificial colors as you mentioned.

Can't find where i said it before but my vet recommended Harrisons after one of my very young buds was diagnosed with liver disease. Since then I've had all of mine on it for 30-40% of their daily diet (combined with germinated seeds) and I think they've all benefitted. It may be the reason that Charlie is still with us at the age of around 15!

So glad to hear that Charlie is healthy and I’m sure happy ❤️👍 thank you so much for your input ❤️🐤 I will definitely get it, and hopefully they will start eating it immediately, even if it takes time I will be patient, I really want them to live happy and healthy long lives ❤️ As I’m sure all of you do too 🙂 thanks again I really appreciate your reply

I think people who manage to get their birds onto pellets deserve a medal . I tried to transition mine to Harrisons some years ago, they weren't having any of it, would rather starve Sorry i cant be of any help.

I’m pretty sure Ollie is eating some of the pellets that I’m mixing in with his seeds, and did so from the get go. As well as scrutinising the leftovers and stuff on bottom of cage his droppings look a bit different - bulkier and slightly more green in colour. He seems more avoidant of the germinated seeds though. I expected it to be the other way round!
We need to make more progress before he can join the others.
