Not sure about this one, I'm leaning towards a little Hen, see what others think. Beautiful little bird.
Does the food not get pooped on lying just under the perches?

I'm thinking boy as it looks sort of purpley in one photo. Might take a while to be able to work it out properly

jellybean, No not at all that I’ve seen they seem to be missing or getting the perch so I have to clean them more often.

I’m leaning towards boy. There’s a lot of contrast on his cere like my boy Xephy, but around the nares looks blue, not white.
Just a btw - if he doesn’t get a lot of outside the cage time, you may want to get him a bigger cage. Preferably with more horizontal space than vertical, and a plain rectangle shape for maximum interior space.

MorganI’m planning on getting a bigger flight cage as well as training to be out the cage. I’ve got both budgies to eat out my hand and they’ll climb back into my hand for food and treats but they won’t let me stroke them yet.

This is Bird! he was our first boy and we got him as a fully grown adult from a pet store and of course he was terrified of us and everything. I’ve learned a lot about birds in the last month and he will now eat out our hands and he’s just started target training too .

roxidek - Thanks for sharing! Hello Bird! He is gorgeous, I love that you chose a normal green as your first bud. <3 I love all the color mutations too but I feel like sometimes the “normals” are overlooked just because they’re not labeled as “fancy” or whatever in the pet store. Good job with the training! I started target training my first three buds, but when the flock grew and I got a little busy I kinda fell off. I’ve just started doing it again though! I have to take two out at a time so it isn’t too hectic xD

Such beautiful birdies! 😍
Regarding the food bowls, I would personally prefer not putting it under any perches on the cage floor or hang it up on the cage side walls, to keep food safe and poop bacteria proof. Sometimes, you can't find a dried poop amidst the seeds..it needs concentration to pick the odd one out. And I have seen that they might eat the poop too, which isn't something I would want them to! 😅🤗🧡
