When he got his x-ray, I could hear him screaming blue murder through the closed door. Poor baby.
I thought the vet squashes them in the x-ray machine, like a mammogram, but apparently someone holds them down, stretching out their wings and their legs to get a clear shot. Can't be very nice for a little bird.

Mini update...
Two weeks of the most excellent poop. Yaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy.
However, I discovered he'd eaten a corner off a paper napkin when I was cleaning up the house this morning. BOOOOOooooooooo.
I can't have him stuffing up his insides again. How can I get this through his big fat yellow head.

Here we go again. Things were going so well, then Boo ate some paper napkin and re-irritated his previously blocked intestines. A couple of vet visits and several path tests later....
Because his intestines aren't working at full capacity, the paper has caused an e-coli problem in his bowels. According to the vet, e-coli is normal, but because the rate at which food passes through the gut has been slowed by the blockage, it has caused a PH imbalance and so an over colonisation of e-coli in the small intestine. Usually the normal acid PH in the start of the intestine decontaminates normal e-coli before it reaches the small intestine. The PH level also determines the rate at which the crop empties and food passes through the digestive tract.
Anyway, Boo's got some meds to clear it up. We'll see how we go, and if we still have a problem in a few days he'll have to get some more of those force-feed washes through his system.
Argghhhhhhggggh!!!!!!

Thanks Mick. I hope all goes well too. Usually a bit of paper won't harm them. It's because his intestines have been compromised by the earlier blockage.
