Oh silly Boo. Naughty little boy! I hope these meds clear it up Stace. I'm sorry he's constantly having you worry.

Ohh naughty and poor Boo It seems to be going on with you Stace. I can imagine all that worry, visits to vets and the expenses. On the positive note and just to cheer you up; you would become very experienced in budgie problems and treatments You are lucky though to have such a good vet. In some parts of the world, human don't have access to such medical care.

I am lucky to have such a good vet. I also see the kind of tests he runs to come to an accurate diagnosis. He treats the birds in exactly the same way as a doctor that runs a series of tests on human patients to be sure of the diagnosis. Some tests he does himself, others he has to send out to specialist labs. He suspects a problem based on experience, but he never guesses.

Come on, Boo. Be a good boy and eat your regular food instead of paper. You'll feel much better and won't need medicine. You're much too cute to e sick. You have everyone worried, especially your Mom.

Oh, what a bird! Chew up the bark, not the paper.

Oh, what a bird! Chew up the bark, not the paper. I have bark 'stations' set up all over the place for exactly that reason. Didn't work, obviously.

This bird is killing me, Sam! I've told him a million times, don't eat $#@&! He's gonna give mum a heart attack. I'm hoping to see some better poop soon. He's chirping away and dinging his little bell right now, like he hasn't got a care in the world.

Here's Buddy Boo being a good boy and drinking his medicine. Unlike most avian vets, my vet usually provides meds specially made to mix a be palatable in water. I know some think this is strange, but seriously, it works. I've tried the syringe down the beak, and 'Princess' Boo put up such a performance. He then quickly started to outsmart me, making it near impossible to even catch him up. He's so crafty, you have no idea. With the water bowl, if I sit Boo on my shoulder and tell him, "drinky poo, buddy, drinky poo", he'll have several big slurps. He always seems to sit and wait for around 30 seconds first. Don't know why this must be. He just always does it. Once he drinks, he gets told he's a good boy and gets a kiss. Repeat process several times, and we're done.
