First off i would like to thank you all for your time and apologies for such a long post but i really have been struggling.
A few months ago, about 3/4 i have gotten my very first budgie, Coco. After about a month of having Coco he was confident enough to step on my hand and eat millet and i got him to fear my hand much less. We have him placed in my room on a table, we let him go outside his cage everyday and have a little gym set up for him. Unfortunately sometimes he falls off the table because his wings are clipped and he refuses to go on my hand.
Moving on, about a month after getting Coco i went to get my second budgie, Lemon. Reason being is that i wanted Coco to be very happy since online they state budgies love company. Gradually with time Coco has started to fear my hand again, he runs away from my hand and even when i walk past sometimes.
Lemon is also quite fearful but he wont hesitate to come near me when there is food, he also falls off the table in my room sometimes (he isn't clipped just cant fly) and surprisingly enough he will climb onto my hand when i offer help. I just would like to know what i should do, it has been about three months now and they still fear my hand. I have heard many people have tamed their budgies in a few weeks and they come to sit on their head/ shoulders and am just wondering if you guys think they will ever lovingly come to me like that. I understand that the two budgies will love each other much more but i would like some love too I havent done anything to upset them except bump their cage a few times by accident, i use millet to see if they will come on my hand and i do this daily.
Thank you all for reading and if you have any tips i would love to listen.
