A friend recently drew my attention to this group, whose merchandise includes: I love it that there are such bonkers people in the world .

I'd quite fancy one of their 'Drone Field Guide' shirts ... ... but not at that price ($32), with postage and probably customs charges thrown in!

Replace "Pet Bird" with "Alexa" and they might be more accurate.

I often think that. Sometimes Alexa will randomly say something when we have not used her name. Replace "Pet Bird" with "Alexa" and they might be more accurate.

Saw a video of a raven attacking a drone delivering coffee, on the news; I’ll see if I can find it … Here we go … The fellow guiding the drone said it happened a couple of times (breeding season) so they have stopped flying the drone over this suburb for the time being.

That is so cool!! I hope this puts an end to a future sky full of drone deliveries… I mean, I get the appeal? But I think we need to stop somewhere with the “instant gratification” generation… As much as I love Google, a lot of technology has not really made life any “easier” or given us fewer working hours (as I think was the intended goal?), only given us more complex problems to solve!

Hey, that's amazing, Hezz! Though in the view of the 'Birds aren't real' group, it would just be one drone ... attacking another drone

Hear hear! Perhaps we could train a flock of budgies to bring down all the drones and satellites and what have you, and get back some peace and calm

Just recruit the raven population - they seem to know how it is done. I’m glad some common sense prevailed and the ravens aren’t being bothered all the time. Along the same lines, but not quite, I stood and watched two little Willy wagtails give a cockatoo a sending off yesterday. Willy wagtail - about the same size as a budgie, weighing a bit less; sulphur crested cockatoo average weight around 800 gms and around 50 cms long. Not just harassing but forcefully trying to knock cocky off his perch; they must have had a nest just there.

It's amazing how size just doesn't seem to be an issue for some birds. There's a budgie in my local aviary who's very keen on one of the cockatiels: he doesn't seem to be bothered that she (presumably it's a she - I have no idea how to sex a cockatiel!) is three times his size! But how I wish I lived in the land of sulphur crested cockatoos ...

roseTrusty Google tells me Ooh, thanks for that, Marianne! I don't suppose the park men will let me hold any of the cockatiels up to a bright light but I'll see at least if I can check out their cheek patches
