That's so sweet! Neither of my boys will allow me to touch their heads.

My boys don't either, tweetiepiesmom. Munchy used to let me ruffle his cheeks but these days that's an extremely rare privilege. Gwen spoils me. I forget how nervous the others are after I've been with her for a while. I forgot to put the light on in the bedroom because it was nice out and it suddenly went dark, so I had to scoot down there with my torch to find where Gwen had gone and adjust her eyes to some brightness before turning the light on. She's learning that if I remove her from my head then there's no point jumping back up. She kept scurrying around the bed to her food bowl and then running back to me. She's sooooo cute!

Will do. It's much quieter hanging out with her than the boys.
She made a sad sounding noise when she realised that I was just putting in food and not letting her out, so I relented and took her out of the bedroom whilst I hung the laundry up on the airers downstairs. She was hopping around on my head and shoulders. And now we're back in the bedroom and she's eating on the bed before snooze time.

She sounds like a bundle of trouble & fun! And how confident is she on your head?!

starrymist Heads are her favourite place to perch! The only trouble is that I have to pick her up EVERY time I need to put her back in the cage because she just jumps off when I try to transport her in on my hand. Fortunately although she tries to get out of the hold she doesn't seem too bothered by it. Hopefully once she goes upstairs she'll understand the routine.

Hopefully once she goes upstairs she'll understand the routine. Or she will teach the boys bad habits 😂 She sounds like a right little bundle of fun.

Gwen has become my little chores buddy now. She rides around on my head and shouders whilst I sort out the laundry and the washing up. The past couple of days she's been hanging out in the living room with my housemate and I whilst my housemate's cat has been asleep upstairs (living room door shut so she can't suddenly appear). It's quite nice having a little friend with me during the tedious parts of the day. Although she does knot up my hair!

Its going to be interesting to see how she gets on with the boys. Whether humans will still be her company of choice. Sounds like she might teach the others about loving their budgie mum though. Soon you could have budgies fighting for your head 😂
