You’re the same as me - it’s all green and blue for me too! The lounge is duck egg, the bedroom is vintage duck egg, the dining room is seafoam sage, the hall is eau de nil and my study pale duck egg… I wanted the utility in aqua but hubby did Finlay’s shower room in a bright lagoon blue and so used up the paint in the utility too. I love turquoise and peacock blue, emerald green and so on also. We’re considering the kitchen as a future project. The previous owner had a really modern high gloss cream, grey and black theme but I think the high gloss will date and want to have a traditional shaker style so I’ve been looking at colours and so far I come back to grey-sage and pale sage. I’m quite predictable!! Yes, hopefully one will click but if not I think no one would be surprised if they both came home with you. I’d be having fun playing around with a shortlist of names by now.

Green and blue are my absolute favourite coliurs, ariella. I feel the need for another blue budgie just to balance out the colours in my flock a little bit. When you said Finlay my brain briefly mixed you up with blueelephant and I was like "Your OH made a whole shower room for one budgie!?" and then I realised my mistake. So that no names stuck I've been naming both of them in pairs of green and yellow things. We tried short listing names when waiting for Gwen. Nothing stuck until we met her. And Gwen was not one of our previous ideas. So this time I haven't bothered.

Roll on the 22nd! Don't feel guilty about taking one if that is what works best for you. The other will find a good home too I'm sure as the breeder sounds very diligent.

All this talk and action with folks getting more birds has me thinking... Shall I?

These babies are just gorgeous , both are lovely but the green one is stunning. As you say you will know when you meet them, a lot is about their personality at the end of the day

blueelephant I can try! Except for the budgies I usually go with perches either end and more open flying space in the middle.

Looks great Ira. I have the raft swing too and the budgies love it!

ariella Munchy's the only one who tends to use it of our budgies and I can't find anywhere to hang it, so I'm trying it out in the linnie cage at least. I think it's cute even if the birds don't!

Ira is today the day? Did you sleep last night or were you too excited? Can't wait to hear all about them.

Today is indeed the day, blueelephant. I slept like a log because I've had a tiring week at work. I'm going to weigh the budgies and give them a quick fly around, then use their breakfast to lure them back into the cage. So we'll set off around 10ish, meeting the breeder and her partner at the pub for lunch around 1, then heading over to their place. She has reminded me that I am not obliged to buy either linnie if I don't feel a connection to either of them, which is very sweet.

How lovely to be having lunch first. She sounds like a really good breeder. Hope so much you have a connection to one of them and are ready to introduce us to a new member of your family very soon. Have a great day Ira.
