Your day is looking significantly more fun than mine. Those look delicious! I've painted the conservatory and helped install a new shower. (Covid isolation proving productive 🤣).
Can't wait to hear how it's gone today!

Keeping you all in suspenders! We didn't get in until about 20:30, been a very long day, we're both exhausted. OH drove for a total of around 7 hours. Lunch was also delicious but I didn't photograph that, I can only be that modern once in a day. Definitely recommend The Waggon and Horses in Newtown though. The weather and scenery on the drive was nice, scary coming back through country lanes in the dark though. We met Gwen's parents, Bumblebee and Woodstock. Gwen looks exactly like Bumblebee other than their flight feathers. We played peekaboo with the cockatiels, and met the meerkat mob. There were so many different species of bird but getting good photos of them was tricky. The blind budgie twins are going to their forever home tomorrow. Aaaaaand The baby linnies It's interesting that whilst the genetics suggest that the lutino should be female, when tested all previous lutinos from this pair of adults have turned out to be boys. As you can see, they had fun climbing all over all of us. We have come home with the green one as he was more interested in us than the yellow one, and kept coming straight back to my shoulder any time anything spooked him into flying. He had great fun playing in my hair, and made cute tiny noises on the journey home. I introduced him to my housemates briefly when we got back before settling him to bed, and he came out when I removed his apple slice and cuddled himself up under my hoodie. No name yet. Though I named the yellow one 'Idris' because he kept hanging upside down from my elbow! The breeder will be keeping him because she needs a new lutino male for her stock, as Lemon is getting a little old.

What an eventful day you've all had! So special that you got to meet Gwen's parents. Happy to hear that the twins will be in their forever home.
The green linnie sounds like quite the character. I hope you enjoy little "no name yet" for many, many years. He's got a great home!

Maybe you can call him Moss (cos he's green but also after the character from the IT Crowd)

They are a perfect pair, colour wise, but personality make them the bird. . You are going to be a busy girl, although it sounds as though all the hard work has been done for you and you get to reap those rewards.

All name suggestions are welcome. Hezz Definitely, I mainly need to work to maintain what's already been done. He's still in the nippy beak-testing phase so I need to continue telling him off if he's too rough with fingers, and I don't know how long he'll take to settle in. One of the biggest things I'm likely to be up to is rearranging the cage to find the right layout for him. I might need to get more ladders because they like climbing but there's no way I feel comfortable putting ropes in the cage when I'm at work all day and linnies are known to get long toenails that need trimming. We'll see. For now he'll be downstairs in quarantine anyway, just in case he's brought anything in that the budgies can catch. Although they'd primarily been away from other birds and are from a different part of the world, there doesn't seem to be much that doesn't affect multiple species of bird.

He is absolutely gorgeous Ira. What a long but exciting day. I’m so glad he’s already forming a bond with you; snuggles are the best! I look forward to hearing how he settles and the name you choose.
