You will need to research this topic and provide the necessary supplements. Budgies can become egg bound which is dangerous for the hen. To prevent egg binding the hen will need a good diet.
A mineral block, cuttlefish bone and budgie sand. Its good to offer millet and some people give cooked eggs. I heard pellets are a good food source.
The parent birds can occasionally attack the young if they are trying to start another clutch of eggs. In this case one of the adult birds would need to be removed. Look into this topic sometimes you may even have to hand feed the chick's in this scenario.
A year old for a budgie might still be too early to start breeding. It's best to wait until both birds are in condiction for breeding, blue cere male and pink cere female.
The chicks can get a thing called splayed legs, to prevent this I line the bottom of the nest box with fine wood shavings. The nest box will also need to be cleaned out at intervals.
Don't let your birds continue to breed after having raised chicks they will need a brake. Don't let your birds raise too many chicks at once.
Also if the parents are not tame or have bad traits the chick's will more than likely be the same.
This can be an amazing experience when all things go well but also a heart breaking one when things don't.
