My 4 yrs old male green , very happy , budgie is sick. I talked to aviation emergency last week when I realized he is sick , no flying up, & heavey breathing after flying ! They recommended monitor it. Thursday already had appointment took all of my 3 budgie to vet for annual check up ! But as kiwi was dick after examine , vet said he has fluid in tommy, very week ! Probably can’t take blood work after examine. Just gave antibiotics in case ! Today after 2 days getting worse!! Emergency line doesn’t answer. What can I do ? I made Electrolyte but how to deliver to him? Even I’m not sure to can hold & give him antibiotics with syringe.

I'm not sure what to suggest, I'm surprised that an avian vet would be so dismissive of an illness like this.
Is there another avian vet you can see?
With regard to syringe feeding the electrolyte solution, is it possible to offer the solution in a little medicine cup, will the bird drink this way?
Or can someone else hold him and you try and give a drop of it to him?

I realize when it comes to Budgies , experience talks ! Yes was badly seek We ended up to my last hope, Aviation hospital 100 km away but drive worthed! Saturday early morning I drove him there, due to covid they got him on the door ! Since last night he was so bad & even not eating & almost half awake ! They put him in the incubator of oxygen …after couple hours X-ray then blood work! Due to weight ( 52grm ) which is coming from fluid in abdomen started diuretic ( Spironoloctone ) , he was already in Baytril ( Antibiotics ) & started Metacam ( painkiller- anti inflammatory). Discharged on Monday with overall better health! Weight cane diwn to 48 gm( normal his weight is 36 gm). Now generally he’s better , eating , drinking , medications ever 12 hour! He’s cage rest for 14 days. They didn’t find out exactly & said may need further investigation with his own vet 😞 But now he has his wings down ! When he sits on the porches his wings are in his side close his feets ( not at his back like others ) What could may possibly cause this

Can you share a photo of him?
I'm glad he's eating and drinking. I'm not sure what is causing his wings to droop. Were they okay before?
