Wow the forage gym! They have been working hard at that. Was it just hens? Almost all due to several of the hens. A true group effort. Some of the boys made a show of helping but they didn't do much 😊 I put the gym up there in an effort to encourage Coco to forage but it hasn't worked. I've a new plan for that.

Yep, spring. Rito and Aster and both a bit over excited today. Dexter is letting them get on with it.

Is that Eeyore flying over Squeak, Patch and Hibs? It is. No blurring, just a perfect capture of him in flight.

The work being carried out on destroying the cage-top forage gym has stalled slightly of late so the budgies have decided to double up the shifts: In case you wondered why it takes so long to prepare the birbs' veggies in the morning - it's because I have help: Coco was somewhat troubled by uninvited guests. Just before this pic there were two other budgies in the mix. Chocobo wanted to show me her nutriberry and invited me to play the "Daddeh-pick-it-up" game:

If Sprite is annoyed about going back in her cage, she tosses her Nutriberry or almond to the floor (walnuts and millet clusters are never wasted).

Happy Official Hatch Day, Perry Rhodan! Officially, three years old today (his actual hatch day is unknown) Perry spent the first half of his life as a singleton budgie, a beloved family pet but with increasingly limited daily contact with his original family as the demands on their time grew. As a result, he was a socially awkward budgie when he first came to me. He is a busy boy this days and is the Favoured One of Squeak.

Happy Official Hatch Day, Coco! Your actual Hatch Day is of course unknown but we have a day each year for you, to celebrate. You've had to come a long, long way from your cage-bound solitary existence to being in and amongst a large flock over crazy birbs. I think you are adapting marvellously and I hope you continue to develop your personality in new and fun ways. And who knows what the future might bring?
