Good luck, good health little Munchie. Hope he starts feeling better and the swelling and soreness goes away.

Despite all the excitement of the day, Munchy was very keen to come out to play. Draining the swellings has really improved his use of the foot even though he still has a limp.

I'm glad they were able to see Munchy today and hope the pain meds help. It's nice seeing him out to play with his friends.

Brave Munchie! Aww, he’s a real little soldier. I’m glad the trip to the vet was positive and he seems in less discomfort. Had to chuckle at Gwen.

ffiscool the others are all hormonal and Pippin keeps trying to chat Munchy up, but Munchy's feeling off-balance so keeps getting aggy at them, which they either ignore or get aggy back about, so we're having to keep a close eye. Marianne Marlow ariella Gwen really likes phones, so sometimes when we're recording the others doing something cute she suddenly leans down in front of the camera because she's on top of it.

I am happy that your lovely house mate was able to get Munchy to the vet and that better still you and Munchy now have something positive to work with, instead of scrabbling through the great unknown.

Anything to report, Ira? How is Munchy?

Nothing really to report, Hezz. I'm getting a good verbal telling off twice a day from the old blighter, the good thing about that is that he has his beak wide open yelling at me, so giving medicine is quick, and he'll eat a millet bobble I offer straight afterwards. He flies somewhat slowly, so it looks a bit laboured as a result, but I wouldn't want a high speed landing onto my sore foot either. I'm trying to encourage him to use an open palm, and he will if he needs something, like when he ended up on the floor earlier for some reason I didn't see because I was cleaning up the mess he'd made around the sink. Getting him back in the cage requires more millet, because he won't sit still on me for long enough, so popping him in for food without getting hassled by the others can be a challenge. Indie spends long bouts of time trying to get into Munchy's cage for food because it's easier than foraging.

I'm glad Munchy is taking his medicine, even if it is with a bit of protest. He's such a lovely fellow.

Oh yes, the open-mouth protest is easy to deal with; the closed-mouth silent ones are another problem altogether. Hoping he is getting relief with his twice daily indignation and he starts to appear to be not so sore very soon. Gout’s a bugger, Munchy; no more port, wine and pate for you, my friend.
