Hi Everyone
I have Beanie the budgie he is male and almost a year old. He is free flying throughout the day and very friendly and tame.. Wanting to be involved in whatever I am doing. He doesn't seem unwell however is going through a very hormonal time by mating with whatever he finds.. The issue I have is he is now regurgitating onto his perch and it drops to bottom of cage he then goes to bottom and collects it only to go through same process over and over again? As I say he is not showing signs of being sick and when he regurgitates it is whole seed along with I expect is saliva if that is possible. Any advice would be very gratefully received.

I had a budgie that started doing this when he first came to me. He did it because he was upset at being on his own and wanted to be with us all the time.
I think you're right and it's a hormonal phase, when mine made friends with other budgies he stopped doing this. We also spent more time with him too.
My boy had been given to me by someone who had an emotional bond with him but her partner didn't like the bird, so she gave him to us.
