My budgie lemon got parrot fever around a month ago and developed symptoms, took him to the vet and he gave us enrofloxacin to give my budgie for 40+ days. He also said that if the medication doesn’t work we’ll move to doxycycline. Lemon is on day 27 of the antibiotic
Lemon got so much better within a week and became very active again but today is the first day i notice a very faint clicking sound when hes perching on my shoulder. Hes very active and there’s no tail bobbing whatsoever or any other signs of the disease, the clicking is not constant it just comes and goes and i happen to notice it.
I’ve got an appointment with the vet tomorrow but I wanted to know if it’s from chlamydiosis or from the medicine and if I should be worried that anything might happen before tomorrow

Could be a whole host of things including iodine deficiency or air sac mites.
Hope it goes well at the vet tomorrow and you get to the root of the problem.

You have an expert at your fingertips tomorrow who will be able to answer all these questions and more. Much better than any of us guessing remotely.

The vet examined him and told me he still has a bit of nasal discharge and the clicking is probably because of an irritant, The clicking hasn’t come back but the vet was able to catch a few clicks when he checked him. Lemon isn’t considered a very healthy budgie yet, we’ll wait till he finishes his medicine.
The vet is also telling me to completely change his diet to pellets, i’ve been trying the past few years but i can only get my budgies to eat some portion of pellets daily but this time i’m gonna exactly measure the amount of seeds everyday and slowly lower the portion while upping the pellet portion. I’d love some tips on changing their diet

It is good that the vet didn't come up with anything else, and it seems like the meds will just take the full course to work
does he have any fruit or veg?
there are mixed opinions on pellets, but if he is not having a lot of seed and you can up the veg etc.. that might also be good

Where in the world do you live saraa123. Are seeding grasses available to you? Budgies love this type of food, it's what they would have in the wild.
