Hi Guys Gotta say, I didn't expect to find myself in this section of the forum as I know I am not a breeder and we lost our budgie this week Despite us being devistated, we are considering getting 2 budgies instead of 1 (when we feel we are able to) and when we have got the perfect set up for 2. So was wondering if anyone knew of a budgie breeder in Kent? Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated and many thanks in advance

We have a section "somewhere" with lists of members who are breeders.......... I have a feeling in is in the "General" section of the forum, Sam. Try to get babies who have been handled by their breeder, or someone who is prepared to do this for you. Also look in Trading Post part of General forum. I know Bonesy had young for sale, but no idea where either of you are......... as you can tell, this is all off the top of my head, rather than going through the posts and losing what I have already written down. Two together from the same breeder won't need a) quarantine and b) introduction to each other. PS Told you Monts had it all worked out for you.

Have got Bonesy's tips for training from a previous thread too which I think included buying from the same breeder. Would want the brds to be familiar with each other from the start for quarantine and friendly reasons

Aww thanks Hezz - I thought I had better let people know that she is still around albeit in a different way but thank you for noticing x It does make you feel kinda weird as you feel like you are not participating in the forum as fully as you would be able to normally! But despite that we have good news - me and my partner have been discussing your other comment in a different thread about how many birds should you get and...OMG, believe it or not, he has convinced me to take on 3 budgies (he understood you comment completely!) Do I know what I have let myself in for I ask myself?! Will not be just yet as we have to save a bit of dosh first to get the perfect set up for the new crew, but of course will keep all posted Going for a Ferplast Piano 6 cage with all the trimmings: www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/birds/bird_cages_and_accessories/parakeet_cages/ferplast/113666And, am getting LOADS of other bits too (sigh)! What was it Stace said about once saying she would be better off buying a yacht?!!! ;D

Lordy, what have I done!!!! I take no responsibility!! Just an idea but why don't you stagger them a little rather than getting all three together? Gives you a bit of time to get training established before the next "installment" because as you know they can be easy or not to get them to the stage where you are confident they won't cause havoc.

Just thought I would mention there is a guy on ebay sells the piano 6 for £50. I ordered one from him and it arrived damaged. It was still sturdy enough to use but I have a thing about black bars lol Anyhow he offered me it damaged for £20 but I returned it. He sent the courier and gave a full immediate refund. So still a good seller.

Cheers outnumbered, will take a look at that! If it hasn't gone alreay of course Thanks Marianne - think Ferplast is a great make and was rcommended to me by my local guy at the pet shop (who is a good guy) and of course I have taken a look on the forum too. Actually, I dont know why I just dont buy an aviary and move into it! Hezz, all your advice is invaluable and it is always best to look at all scenarios as they are all potential possibilities. But just to let you know, my partner wants you to know that he is placing all responsibility with you ;D
