Hey guys can you please help me with something? I have an 8 years old budgie, Nemira, and today when I gave her some pets I noticed a weird growth on her groin area. She also seats with her legs far apart while playing or climbing, but does not appear to be sick because she is active and chirping all day long, is not puffed up and she seems generally happy. I hope that it is a lipoma. She is a very picky eater and consumes mostly pellets, although I feed her green leaves and fruits like apples, because these are the only foods she agrees on eating, along with iodine and calcium supplements, and vitamins. I am very scared for her health, could this be cancer? I will consult with my veterinarian but I wanted to hear a few pieces of advice until I can meet with her.

I’m sorry but I can make out nothing from this photo. Please try again and suggest you check the photos before posting them as often the one that we think the clearest turns out not to be. Looking at a photo is not the same as being able to feel it for yourself. Make the appointment with your vet anyway and we’ll wait for a clear photo. Hens can develop lipomas close to their vent, particularly if they have been egg layers.
