Do budgies need natural light or is a light bulb enough for them?
I have a large walk in closet which looks like it could make a good aviary but the only problem is, its dark in there with no natural light. I can keep it lit with a 6500k L.E.D bulb at 7 watts which is the nearest color to natural day light. Would that be enough or do they need real natural day light?
Do they get any vitamins from natural day light?
I also have a few UVB and UVA bulbs that have been sitting in a draw for a long time unused I'm not sure if maybe they would be better to use?

UVB bulbs lose their potency over time and need to be replaced on a regular basis. They also need to be the ones especially made for birds. The ones made for reptiles and tortoises are way too strong and can potentially damage a bird’s eyes.
