Been sprouting these for 4 days and since day 3, they have started to turn pink/purple. Is this still ok to feed.? Why are they doing this.? Could I be rinsing too many times a day.? I do rinse them between every 2-6 hours to be sure that they aren't drying out

They look okay to me. It just looks as though the outer casing of the seeds are coming off which is normal.

Agree with Hezz, they look ok. I find here in the US, organic sprouting seeds don't seem to mold like regular ones. Rinsing every 6 hours is plenty good. Rinsing with apple cider vinegar helps prevent mold. Follow that with a couple fresh water rinses. Good luck! My two budgie boys love their sprouts.

Thank you. I don't see anyone elses roots/seeds turning this colour so wasn't sure. Will have to get apple cider vinegar.

It's probably what colour they are under the husk. What are they?
