Poor Mr Hibbs, and I definitely know it’s not nice having to catch them, but he will forgive you…..I have had to catch Charlie SO many times……I am quite the expert now 😉

Mr Hibs and I have already had a couple of nice chats since first thing. He doesn't carry grudges 😊🐦

It is not usual for one side of a respiratory tract to be more blocked than the other, I’m sure we have all experienced that. He may also have a blocked sinus which are beggars of things to clear up due to the lack of blood supply to the sinus cavity. Check his blocked nostril side of his cere, closest to his eye and see if there looks to be any swelling there. The bald patch could be coincidental or it may be due to internal pressure.

I've not been able to detect any swelling in the affected area. That's not to say there isn't any but there's nothing obvious to me.
Mr Hibs continues to be full of beans and not even the ABs are slowing him down. The bald patch continues to (very slowly) fill in. The blockage comes and goes. The vet suggested misting him with tepid water. This will be easier than wrestling Mr Hibs into a steamy bathroom but I'm not sure it will be as effective.

Not the best focus but it's apparent that Mr Hibs' nostril is less blocked at the moment. His bald patch is shrinking nicely, too.

Glad Mr Hibs is doing okay and he’s taking his meds nicely. It is just horrible catching them but hopefully it’ll put paid to any infection. I’ve watched a few YouTube videos of vets removing quite large blockages from a variety of nares and flushing through the sinuses. Not sure any of them specified an actual cause for the blockage though. Just one of those things I guess.

My very good boy Mr Hibs let me pluck him off his swing tonight with almost no fuss at all. Good boy!
Naughty Mr Hibs was very reluctant to open his beak though. I'm not certain how much I got into him tonight. Some, I hope.
He's a good boy all the same.

To my eye, it looks like that nostril is open and clear and the feathers are looking good! Good job to both of you.
