So far, they have just ignored them. Chipper was the only one brave enough to approach them and beaked one and thought "nah" and flew off. I need to look at new ways of serving it. I notice that some of you have foraging trays. I may have to buy something like this, but I am scared it will just get covered in poo.

Poo is an issue with forage trays - especially when you have a Chocobo - but you just have to keep on top of things. Easy if you have spare time, challenging if you don't!

The wooden playground that I have, gets covered in poo, it's such a mess to clean every night.

I’ve never heard of any of those thing, what’s the middle 1? I don’t think foraging toys need to cost much necessarily. Here’s some of the things I’ve tried with Sunny. 1. A millet bud wrapped in crinkle paper 2. A paper cube I made filled with crinkle paper & millet 3. A loo roll filled with paper strips he has to pull out to find the millet buds 4. A foraging box, this was great but every time he flew it went everywhere! …. 5 So I adapted by filling a shredding mat with short strips of paper which stay put. There are treats he has to dig around for.

Do any of yours play with the Kevin balls? Try threading the sticks in the first package through the Kevin holes. Once they decide its good you can make a more challenging foraging toy. I'm a fan of dyi foraging toys.

Only Max likes the Kevin. Everyone else is a scardy bird. Perhaps I'll see what I can make, but they're not the bravest of budgies. Do any of yours play with the Kevin balls? I've tried dried greens with my two Marianne, they ended up in the bin, hope you have better luck.
Nice selection, these birdies just don't appreciate what we do for them 😁

Seagrass mats are good as a foraging medium. Interesting things fall down the gaps and they have to work to fish them out. Especially good for Loki.

My two love the mats, they just peck them to bits ! I turned mine into a swinging platform by adding leather straps to the four corners and hanging it to the roof of the cage, you do have to watch out for poop and if possible I leave it until it is dry otherwise it can get into the fibres when you are trying to remove it. The boys is it for various things including the pecking, sometimes even as a bed !
