Picked up two beautiful boys today (within 5 months old) The previous owner was a heavy smoker and the birds smell a bit Smokey. He only had them a few months so don’t believe they’ll have health issues and tbh, are in a better environment now. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the smell I.e bathing or will I just have to wait until they moult feathers. Anyone been in a similar situation? Thanks

This makes me so angry that animals are subjected to this and have no way of escaping such an environment.
I'd hang a large bunch of soaking wet basil up and see if they'll have a wash that way, or put basil in a casserole dish and see if they venture in.
If neither of these work, you could always put them in the bathroom with the shower running for a little while and maybe the hot steam will help.
Welcome to your new home boys.

Some good ideas here from jellybean. They may enjoy a light misting with clean water from an unused spray bottle, but don’t wreak any trust that you may have going by continuing if they don’t like it.
