Hello all, not checked in for a while so thought I would Well had Bo since 9th of December and he's come into his own. So playful and singing all the time.. 85 percent of the time he's so well behaved although he is still quite bitey at times. I think he was obsessed/possessive over a toy in his cage, I've removed that today to see if it makes any difference.. His favourite toys out of the cage are empty loo rolls, the little cat balls with bells in..and well today his skateboard arrived so I actually managed to get him on it a few times! He does love to play.. until he doesn't and then bloody bites ..and we'll, you should see him dance . He's amazing loves it.. always at it.. and if I dance too then he's straight on my shoulder dancing with me.. gives me many a kiss each day and making lots of different sounds.. his favourite radio station is absolute 90s.. He's into his first propper moult, seems to be taking a while and may be factoring into thee bites..he's also hormonal and randy I think.. I can't get him to bathe.. I currently mist him and he HATES it.. so I will continue to attempt to get him to bathe in some manner.. I know of lots of different methods.. I'm just slowly working through those lol.. He's amazing and I love him dearly.. best thing I ever did was get myself a new bird.. bit sure why I waited so long! Hope all your birds are well I'll upload a more recent pic too. He has his Iris showing now but his cere not changed yet nor has he lost his bars.. so quite early for the iris but he's a beautiful little thing!

He is gorgeous and must have been hatched about the same time as my Buddy…14 th October. Buddy is in moult too and yes can be inclined to give the odd nip, but he gets firmly told off lol. I tried Buddy with a spray and he hated it so I havnt done it again….but I put a shallow dish of water on top of his cage and he jumps straight in……. Try that….

Yes our boys are very close in age I've tried the shallow dish, tried a deeper one, tried wet greens for him to rub up on, put a mirror in a dish..his fave toys in a dish.. a dish full of greens so fair all to no avail.. I'm sure we will get there some odd way he chooses fit haha.

Some leafy twigs or seeding grass wet down to dripping wet and hung in the cage is very popular. It is how our little desert birds have evolved to bath naturally. But some budgies are not big bathing fans and it doesn’t matter if they don’t.

Indeed. My Sky never ever took a dip in water. His plumage looked perfect and he lived til the grand age of 12.
