So look what my friend did to be able to put the food right next to his injured bird π itβs simple and genius in the same time (mind blowing π€―) how did I not think of this before itβs amazingly easy and very useful πππ just genius π I immediately tried it with my buds and it worked instantly ππ This is our princess Elsa in the pic below β€οΈπ₯π

Got to admit, I never thought of using that for a shallow bowl... Nice idea.

That is pretty clever actually, so it is the spout part from one of these?

Yes ladybird (I have two!), or any cage with horizontal bars. But it's a good idea and will help some people

I'd really like some seed bowls that fitted into my cages that Iris couldn't dump up and down to scatter the seed everywhere!

It's funny isn't it. This would have been so useful for the Hamberley where Finlay liked to throw the little d shaped hook over seed pots off onto the floor. Meanwhile the vision was better because she couldn't do it as the bars are horizontal, and she'd just pick them up and shake them.
Little monsters!

That is great innovation, lemonora. I can certainly see a place to do this in at least one of the budgiesβ cages. With those drinkers I always find that it is the main body of the things that break first and then leak so I have a few spare in my box of tricks. Tell your friend that this is revolutionary.

What a great idea. Good for little bowls of chop. I'm trying that tomorrow

sweetpea, not sure my bunch of nellies would use anything red. It's terrifying and would surely eat them!

Mango assured me in no uncertain words that seed absolutely, positively definitely does NOT go into such a receptacle and never anywhere near her!! They are for water and water only, silly woman! Oh well, I tried.
