I noticed that Chipper not only has two beautifully straight tail feathers. But also they are really long! When he came to me at 6 weeks old in January 2022, he had a short stumpy tail. He’s certainly made up for it now! Photos of Chipper at 6 weeks old and now. p.s. yes i'm aware i need to clean the back of Penny's cage!  |

Chipper is both extravagantly tailed and beautiful. Such a handsome boy!
(And I thought Mr Hibs had a long tail!)

Chipper has changed to much in colour from when he was a baby, it's hard to believe he's the same bird. When the yellow come though, it brightened him up all over.
Hibs is probably a much bigger bird too.

Hibsy is a big boy. He was tiny for a long time, Eeyore dwarfed him. Then he had a growing spurt and is now one of my biggest budgies, in weight and size.
I was just marvelling at Chipper's change in appearance over time.

Wow!! He has bird of paradise genes. That tail is sensational. If he was a swallow he'd have all the ladies.
