i came home to find out one of budgies had flew away she has 2 chicks they are about 2 weeks old please give me any advice as i do not know what to feed them as the hen has flew away
will they have a chance of surviving without a mum

I think your best bet is to send barrieshutt a message.....he would be able to help you with this.... And as long as you care for them then they should be ok....you will become their new mum.....

if the cock budgie is there he should be ok in raising the chicks!!! or could you foster them to another hen with chicks of about the same age!!!

Those two options as Gaile mentioned, or try to hand feed them. It's not difficult. Normally breeders take them from the parents as 21 days old. At 14 days old they are still young but you will be able to hand feed them.

I've had this happen once before and I ended up handrearing the babies she was a great mum I tried catching her but then it got to the point of being unable to see her:( I didn't put the latch up on the door so when she hit it out of panick the door opened and she went. How did yours fly away?
