Weirdly, mine were all in bed by 7pm yesterday. I knew that that level of naughtiness could not be sustained for long. Beautiful pics, Marianne. I love the soap dishes too and I know some birbs who'd really like some

I've never had birds which stay out that late. My two are always in and settled once they've had their tea and the natural light starts to fade, finally being covered up at about 8pm.

Mine are probably ready to go to bed at about 8. But I am not able to start the night time clearing up until 8.30 as Eve goes to bed at that time. It takes about an hour and a half to tidy, clean, change seed and water and then usher them all in to their cages. I've never had birds which stay out that late. My two are always in and settled once they've had their tea and the natural light starts to fade, finally being covered up at about 8pm.

I think I must be spoilt. My guys usually take themselves off to bed when the light gets low. I sometimes have to flick the lounge lights up so that stragglers make it all the way to the inside of the cages. It's been a while since I have had to bully a budgie into going to bed. Chocobo is now in the routine of sleeping behind the pictures on the bookcase.
I'm mulling over the idea of a separate cage for Chocobo for night time but realistically, how much chance does that have of working? Some budgie saboteur will find a way of derailing it all, even if Chocobo decides to use the cage.

Sometimes mine do also take themselves to bed when the light gets low. But 10 budgies can't really all sleep in one vision cage. Another cage?? do you have room loz?
