Hi all was hoping to get some advice or any ideas on what could wrong with Pepper, he’s about a year and a half, over the last week I’ve noticed he’s started to deteriorate he still eats and drinks as well as has his fresh fruit and veg but he seems to be fluffed up most of the time and appears as if he is always shaking. He’s not his usual self he’s always so loving and affectionate to my other 7 birds but he now seems to keep to himself and won’t really interact with anyone. His beak started to over grow earlier this year and was told by the vet it’s most likely due to liver disease. I tried to trim his beak 2 nights ago but he became so stressed I honestly thought he was about to pass away in my hands I am planning on booking him a vet appointment but I worry the next I go to hold him the same will happen again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated he’s such a sweet soul it breaks my heart to think he’s in pain and suffering.

Poor little mite, definitely needs to see the vet, looks like it could be a respiratory infection the way he’s breathing but only the vet will be able to determine what’s wrong.

His beak does look a bit long. There are a few nerves in the beak so its best to be trimmed by a vet or experienced person. wishing the best for your bud.

He looks very unwell, I wouldn't be surprised if he was underweight too, can't tell if he is shivering or has a neurological issue. But keep him warm and make sure he has food that is easy to eat nearby. How are the droppings? if they are green he is probably not eating, or not enough.
Any rusty surfaces he could have got to? bells, bars, toys.
When is the vet appointment?
