I just got an English Budgie 2 days ago, he will get on anybody's finger/hand no problem already! I don't know if I should let him out, cause i don't know if i can trust he will come back on his own will. Yes or No. This was a lot longer before and had some other questions, but my computer stopped and I lost it all, anyways thank you for the support.

Good Morning and welcome to the Forum! Some folks will come in with some very good advice for you soon, I'm certain, regarding the cage and the pellet issue in your other thread. My inexpert advice would be, if the budgie is hand-tame and once he/she is clearly aware that the cage is a place of safety and food, you should be confident of giving him some out-of-cage time. I am assuming you have budgie-proofed the room where he will be flying free - no hazards, no open windows, no dangerous nooks or crannies they can fall into but not get out of again, etc. Again, people more experienced than I can give you more specific advice on this. In the meantime, has the budgie a name? And will there be pictures? We all like pictures here

I am still deciding on a name, if you have any suggestions for a blue, male, playful, and brave, English Budgie I will greatly appreciate it. Yes I am going to share pictures I just don't have any good ones yet.

Will he sit on your finger/hand and allow you to walk around while he stays put? If so, then yes, let him out but use a small room initially, such as a bathroom or small bedroom for those first few times until he learns to go back into his cage when you need him to. Make sure windows are covered so he doesn’t fly into them, make sure ceiling fans are always off when your bird is out, and also make sure you have plenty of time when you do begin to let him out. They don’t always want to go back home when let out and you will never get him in if you become impatient, frustrated, anxious etc. he will pick up on your demeanour and act accordingly, thinking there is some threat around.
